Elders

The rural villages of Andhra Pradesh have witnessed many cases where aged people are treated as liabilities and been abandoned. They have been thrown out of their homes by the people they have given the gift of life to - their own children. This has resulted in many elders becoming helpless and homeless.

Poverty, illiteracy and the ill-effects of alcoholism are also having an impact on social imbalance in the lives of such abandoned people.

We strive to help such elders by giving them care and kindness, providing them with responsibilities to take care of other children at Daddy Home, as an Avva (Granny) or a Taata (Grand Father). Though they lost the love of their own relatives, Daddy Home gives them the opportunity to experience a whole new family and to enjoy abundant happiness and emotional bonds.
